Deivid Rojas (he/him/el) is a Chicago-based filmmaker. A queer, working-class Colombian immigrant, his work explores the complexity of Latine and LGBTQ+ experiences, examining themes of immigration, masculinity, and racial identity. He is a 2022 Full Spectrum Features Community Storyteller and served as creative producer and co-writer on La Salida, a short film about anti-Blackness within the non-Black Latine community that premiered at the Gene Siskel Film Center. Deivid brings over a decade of experience in community, racial, and labor organizing, using storytelling and visual media to support campaigns and cultural work.
Deivid has been recognized by Windy’s City Times 30 Under 30 Award in light of his contributions made to the Chicago LGBTQ community and was a ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship Semi-Finalist
